- A disappointed wife, Amran, leaves her disdainful husband, Abshir, and his village, to return to her mother, but on the way she is attacked and devoured by a lion. Soon a man, Askar, comes along who, though mauled by the lion, kills it, and finds the jewelry the woman was wearing. When he tells the men of his village his story, Abshir, who has recognized his wife's jewels, claims them, but Askar says the jewels belong to him, the one who slew the lion. The elders of the village are summoned to decide to whom the jewels rightfully belong, according to the teachings of the Holy Koran. To whom will they award the jewels?
[Barnbokskatalogen]
